Hello Fellow Readers,

So I'm not sure what I expected going into this book, but it wasn't the emotionally poignant tale I got. It starts out like any typical romance, we meet Sloan and Hayden, get to know them, and they soon meet each other. A witty conversation and night together forges a connection between these two. They are then separated by unforeseen circumstances. It's at this point in the book that this romance takes a surprising turn that separates itself from other typical romance stories.

Despite the name, this book is so much more than a romance trying to capitalize on the currently pandemic. Hayden and Sloane are so realistic and relatable. So much so that I almost feel like they could be based on real people. Sloane especially, she was just so laid back and witty (and had great music taste). You can tell that she really needed a change in her life. Hayden did seem a little too perfect at first, but once the story picks up you start to know the real Hayden. I will say that while I enjoyed Loomis characters and writing, there were some parts that felt a little slow. This was noticeable particularly in the beginning, but this was due to the setup and getting to know the characters individually.

Overall, a great story that will definitely surprise you.
