#CurrentlyReading December 2022

 Hello Fellow Readers,

I took November off because geez, it's been busy. I had Thanksgiving, then the little gremlin got sick, then the MIL came to visit. It's been one thing after another, but I think things have finally calmed down a bit for me to not only read but to interact and finally write my reviews! Anyway, here is my currently reading list.

I’m not going to argue that I’m a gregarious and charming werewolf with a mischievous grin for everyone I see. The proof is in the pudding. Life in Eliza Falls follows a pleasing pattern of working at the Animal Rescue center and running the business side of the company I own with my brother Seb. Life is good, if a little lonely. Living with just my brother for so long, it now feels wonderful to be expanding our small Pack with Seb’s Mate and her family, planting roots in this kooky little town we now call home.
But something’s still missing.
Until the day my bestie welcomes home an old friend and my Wolf falls wildly in love. Finally my life clicks into place with a joy so fierce I barely contain myself.
When an unknown threat looms over my newfound happiness, I vow to do everything in my power to keep her safe, but will it be enough?

Having magic that keeps me separate from my peers is just something I’ve gotten used to. The only friends I had growing up were my cousin and her best friend in the summers spent in a funny small town in the Pacific Northwest. It’s been so long since I’ve been back though, I’m not so sure where I fit anymore. My magic has increased since I left five years ago and it’s getting harder to hear my own thoughts over the whisper of the wind.
Running into a Very Hot Man my first week in town isn’t something I planned. The way the beast inside him shouts his affection at me? Plot twist! But not an unwelcome one. Can my new werewolf boyfriend settle the magic inside me? Or will my gifts be the key to unlocking happiness for both of us?

Fiona is ready to spend her holiday having fun, but her father has other plans. Worried that his witch daughter has become too reckless after suffering a loss, he bargains her off to serve as assistant to Dr. Elias Van Doorn.

Cursed by a demon to take on the form of a beast, the famous doctor works in seclusion. Fiona should be frightened by his horns and his size. She shouldn’t find his aggravation so delightful or the swish of his tail so captivating or his arrogant mouth so alluring. An irresistible bond begins to form between them, but as she surrenders to her primal desire, she resists giving up her heart. Grief, it seems, is the greater curse.

In just one summer can the clever beast tame this beauty and claim his fated mate

Dazzler, rock ‘n’ roll, and the children of Cyclops and Magneto launch into space and beyond in this electrifying trans-dimensional adventure from Marvel’s School of X

When rock star Dazzler walked out on S.H.I.E.L.D., she hoped she’d seen the last of the clandestine organization. But when a rogue agent drops in after a sold-out gig, she must decide whether to work with them again or stick to her solo career. The agent links Mutant Growth Hormone – a dangerous biochemical that wildly enhances mutant powers – with the disappearance of Magneto and Cyclops. Reluctantly, Dazzler takes the case and unfolds a mystery greater than she anticipated. In need of a new team, she recruits the extraordinary mutants Emma Frost, Polaris, and Rachel Grey on a mission to foil a plot to remove mutantkind forever, which blasts them from Earth into a whole new dimension.

Iselia “Seelie” Graygrove looks just like her twin, Isolde…but as an autistic changeling left in the human world by the fae as an infant, she has always known she is different. Seelie’s unpredictable magic makes it hard for her to fit in—and draws her and Isolde into the hunt for a fabled treasure. In a heist gone wrong, the sisters make some unexpected allies and find themselves unraveling a mystery that has its roots in the history of humans and fae alike.

Both sisters soon discover that the secrets of the faeries may be more valuable than any pile of gold and jewels. But can Seelie harness her magic in time to protect her sister and herself?
