Hello Fellow Readers,
I think I will just post everything I plan to read in May instead of just what I am currently reading. So, here's my May Reading List, What are you all reading for May?

What would you do if you lost everything that mattered to you, as well
as all means to protect yourself and others, but still had to save the
day?
Conrad Brent is about to find out.Conrad Brent protects
the people of Brooklyn from monsters and magical threats. The snarky,
wisecracking guardian also has a dangerous secret: he’s one in a million
– literally.
Magical ability comes to about one in every
30,000 and can manifest at any age. Conrad is rarer than this, however.
He’s a middling, one of the half-gifted and totally despised. Most of
the gifted community feels that middlings should be instantly killed.
The few who don’t flat out hate them still aren’t excited to be around
middlings. Meaning Conrad can’t tell anyone, not even his best friends,
what he really is.
Conrad hides in plain sight by being a part
of the volunteer Watch, those magically gifted who protect their cities
from dangerous, arcane threats. And, to pay the bills, Conrad
moonlights as a private detective and monster hunter for the gifted
community. Which helps him keep up his personal fiction – that he’s a
magical version of Batman. Conrad does both jobs thanks to charms,
artifacts, and his wits, along with copious amounts of coffee. But
little does he know that events are about to change his life… forever.
When
Conrad discovers the Traveling Fair auction house has another middling
who’s just manifested her so-called powers on the auction block, he’s
determined to save her, regardless of risk. But what he finds out while
doing so is even worse – the winning bidder works for a company that’s
just created the most dangerous chemical weapon to ever hit the magical
community.
Before Conrad can convince anyone at the Watch of
the danger, he’s exposed for what he really is. Now, stripped of rank,
magical objects, friends and allies, Conrad has to try to save the world
with only his wits. Thankfully though, no one’s taken away his coffee.

In the world of Vale, the King of the Elves lives in fear of an ancient
prophecy. 'Only a gray blood can kill the king,' or so it foretells.
But
nobody in the land of Vale has gray blood: not the elves who rule the
land, the mortals who inhabit the villages, the mer who rule the sea, or
the witches who are engaged in a bloody and costly war with the elves.
No one except Francis, and her life depends on keeping this secret.
When
Billington, the King's Wizard, brought under his protection a newborn
baby, an infant hunted by the king's Sleuths, his decision put both of
their lives in jeopardy.
Fifteen years later and now the
wizard's ward, Francis is shaken as her protector disappears from the
castle overnight, and she must enlist the help of her first love, a
battle-ridden soldier named X, as she embarks on a quest of survival and
self-discovery.
But outside the safety of the castle's walls,
a war is raging and Francis must endure betrayal and face a myriad of
dangers plaguing the land of Vale as she seeks to find the only family
that she has ever known. As she encounters shapeshifting bounty hunters,
marauding pirates, and dragons that dwell in the witch's mountains, can
Francis uncover the true power of her gray blood? Or is the King's
prophecy just a thing of legend?

Finley Fox refuses to give up her life’s work. With her family’s cabin
rental business at risk of going under, the eldest of five has been
laboring for years to care for the property, not to mention her now
grown siblings. But when a New York billionaire makes a play for the
ailing resort, Finley struggles to resist her attraction to the handsome
man sent to secure the deal.
Archer Weston craves stability.
With his best buddy since childhood in need of a favor, the lonely
businessman heads to the mountains to convince the owner to sell. But
his mission hits a hurdle when his heart melts in the presence of the
hardworking, beautiful woman.
With debt and sibling drama
piling high, Finley fears that leaning on her irresistible guest for
support could end in her own heartbreak. But as their relationship grows
and intensifies, Archer is caught between his long-term loyalty and his
one shot at finding his forever…Can this unexpected couple keep both their dreams alive?

There are some worlds separate from ours - worlds that are thought to be
just whispers. But what happens when one of those worlds collides
inside our own? That’s exactly what happened in the sleepy town of
Harthsburg. When Theodore Lexington’s body flew up into the chilly air
it was clear that his day was turning into a real-life nightmare.
But
the magical creatures that swept him into the sky, known to some as
Twilight Breathers, took more than just Theodore. With only a small
group of people left behind, three friends Eliza, Ben and Audrey set out
to save him, along with any other townspeople they can find. But the
more they learned the more they wonder if the creatures are really there
on their own accord.
Will the three friends be able to save Theodore in time? And who or what is behind the appearance of the Twilight Breathers?

A BILLION STARS, TWO HEARTS, ONLY ONE CAVE.
After half-human
bionic Elanie installs her LunaCorp hormone upgrade, tumultuous emotions
and her changing body complicate her life aboard the deep space
pleasure cruise, the Ignisar. Seeking answers, she’s thrown into the
path of the ship’s handsome but curt physician, Sem, an empath from the
ocean planet Portis.
Knowing empaths typically can’t tolerate
being around bionics since AI emotions are unreadable, Sem is worried he
won’t be able to treat Elanie effectively. Especially as he finds
himself undeniably drawn to her, making a fool of himself every time he
sees her. Remaining professional in the face of a massively
inappropriate crush becomes next to impossible.
When a
mysterious voice hacks Elanie’s programming, forcing her to hijack an
escape pod and jump through space, Sem follows her to the edges of the
Known Universe. Stranded on an uncharted planet together, they must
fight to survive deadly blizzards, arctic ice caves, and a secret,
hedonistic cult. Navigating their growing feelings for each other might
prove to be an even greater challenge than escaping back to the Ignisar.

When Yale Yee discovers
her cousin Celine is visiting from Hong Kong, she is obliged to play
tour guide to a relative she hasn't seen in twenty years. Not only that,
but her father thinks it's a wonderful idea for them to bond by running
a food stall together at the Eastwood Village Night Market. Yale hasn't
cooked in years, and she hardly considers Celine's career as a social
media influencer as adequate experience, but because she's just lost her
job at her local bookstore, she feels she has no choice.
Yale
and Celine serve small dishes and refreshing drinks, and while business
is slow, it eventually picks up thanks to Celine's surprisingly useful
marketing ideas. They're quite shocked that their bubble tea, in
particular, is a hit--literally--when one of their customers turns up
dead. Yale and Celine are prime suspects due to the gold flakes that
Celine added to the sweet drink as a garnish. Though the two cousins are
polar opposites in every way, they must work together to find out what
really happened to the victim or the only thing they'll be serving is
time.
